장학회 이사장 이.취임식 . . .

강릉시 용강동 "농촌한정식"에서 개최하여
- 제12대 박병설(朴炳卨, 34회)이사장을 고문으로 추대하고
- 제13대 이사장으로 32회 김봉구(金鳳九)박사를 추대했다.
이임하는 박병설전이사장은 4년의 임기를 회고하면서 제11대 이사회로부터 재단법인 법정기금인
3억원을 물려받아 현재 7억여원의 기금으로 늘어나는 과정에서 "십시일반(十匙一飯)"의 정신으로
참여해준 동문들의 협조에 감사드리고 고향을 떠나 서울지역에 거주하면서 한푼,두푼씩 모은 재경
장학금을 기탁한 일, 故최용근선배, 모교교장 흉상건립시 유족의 기탁금과 사업비 잔액의 기탁이
계기가 되었다면서, 이번 동문회이사회에서 동문회기금(3억7천여만원)을 장학회 기금으로 기탁
하도록 의결함으로써 장학기금이 외형상 11억원을 달성하게 되어 기쁘다고 회고하였다.
제13대 이사장으로 취임하는 김봉구박사는 고향은 강릉이 아니지만 강릉농고(중앙고)를 졸업하고
고려대학교, 미국 유학후 모교인 고려대학교에서 교수로 재직하다 퇴직하였으니 이제 자신을 키워준
양 모교(母校)에 봉사하는 일만 남았다면서 우리 중앙고 장학회에 2억원, 고려대학교에 3억원을 기탁
하겠다는 약속을 하였다고 하면서 모교 선생님과 동문회, 장학회에 지원해 주시는 여러분들과의
대화와 협력을 열심히 하겠다고 다짐하였다.
장학회의 사무를 전담하는 사무국장으로 55회강성남 장학회 이사를 임명하고 기타토의로 장학회
정호돈(26회)고문께서 이사장이 새로 취임하였으니 과거 장학회에 기금을 기탁한 원로선배님들과
우리 동문이 아닌 외부 기탁자들을 모시고 간단한 식사를 하면서 감사인사를 드렸으면 좋겠다는
발언에 모두의 박수로 약속하였다.
