일상사를 돈으로 환산한다는 것이 서글퍼지는 현실이다.
그렇다고 돈 없는 세상으로 되돌려 살 수 없는 것이 현실인 만큼 싫으나 좋으나 돈으로 환산되는 세상을 벗어날 수 는 없을 것 같다.
누구는 강원도의 맑은 공기를 돈으로 환산하면 얼마의 값어치가 있을 것이라 이야기 했고 또 어떤이는 강원도의 산림으로 인하여 수원함양을 하는 값어치를 돈으로 환산한 것을 본 적이 있다.
우리가 살아가는 세계의 모든 것을 돈으로 환산한다면 내 주머니에서 나가는 돈 이외로 얻는 경제적 가치도 만만찮으리라 생각된다.
하지만 그런 돈은 내 주머니에서 빠져나가지 않는 고로 별로 관심의 대상이 되지 못할 것이다.
하지만 직접적으로 호주머니에서 빠져나가는 돈에 대해서는 신경을 아닐 쓸 수 없는 일일 것이다.
어디 가서 붕어빵을 하나 사 먹을라치면 우선 뒷주머니에 지갑부터 살펴봐야 하는 것이 현실인 것이다.
지갑에서 빠져 가는 돈 중에서 한 번에 왕창 빠지는 경우는 오랫동안 머리에 남을 수 있으나 소소하게 빠지는 돈에 대해서는 감각이 둔해지는 경우가 종종 있을 것이다.
대표적인 것이 담배값이 아닐까싶다.
최근 들어 분수 없이 오른 담배값 때문에 애연가들의 속이 새카맣께 타 들어갈는지 모르지만 이 담배값의 지불도 큰 돈이 아니기에 당장은 큰 부담이 없는 것으로 착각을 할 수 도 있을 것이다.
적소성대라고, 매일 조금씩 모이면 언젠가는 큰 덩치로 남는 것을 우리는 간과하고 있는지 모른다.
어떤 애연가가 평생 피운 담배값을 돈으로 환산해 놓는다면 결코 적은 금액이 아니라 본다.
이렇게 사소한 비용이 싸여서 큰 돈이 되는 경우가 자식을 키우는 경우일 것이다.
낳아서 고등학교에 졸업을 시킬 때까지의 비용이 2억 정도 나온다는 것을 어떤 신문에서 본 것 같다.
어는 정도의 차이는 있겠지만 애 하나 키우는 것이 힘든 것은 물론이겠거니와 들어가는 비용도 만만찮음을 보여주고 있다.
애를 안 나았을 경우 2억이란 돈이 주머니에 남아 있지는 않겠지만 알음알음 들어가는 비용이 싸여서 거금이 되는 경우의 대표 케이스가 아닐까 싶다.
그렇게 거금을 들여 키워놓은 내자식이 시급 6천원짜리 알바를 하고 있다고 생각하면 열불이 터지지 않을 수 없을 것이다.
헬조선이란 말이 안나오면 잘못인 것이다.
이런 세상에서 쥐 뿔도 없는 자들은 무슨 희망이 있으며 비젼이 있겠는가?
바꿔야 한다.
